Now Partnering with Brain Set Free
Healing happens best when the brain and body work together. That’s why Rayah Hope has partnered with Dr. Ryan P. Walters and Brain Set Free. By combining functional medicine with neuroplasticity, we address root causes, restore balance, and help the nervous system feel safe; creating the conditions for lasting healing and Restoration.
What is Functional Medicine?
Unlike conventional medicine, that seeks to manage symptoms with medications, Functional Medicine gets to the root of the problem and promotes health transformation from within. By mapping your health history from conception, we identify unique triggers and create tailored plans to reverse disease—helping you become healthy and whole and reduce medication reliance.

Conditions that we frequently address in our clinic: Autoimmune disease, insulin resistance/diabetes, obesity, gut-related issues, hormone imbalance, thyroid disorders, fatty liver and detox.
Why Join Rayah Hope?
At Rayah Hope, renewing hope and restoring health is our passion. You are more than a patient - you are a life with purpose, potential, and impact.

Finally Feel Heard
We take time to listen because your story matters, and understanding it is essential to getting to the root cause.

Root-Cause Investigation
Instead of simply managing symptoms, we do an extensive work-up and evaluation to understand the why and work to reverse disease.

Personalized
Healing Plan
Your story is unique, and so is your healing journey. We work with you and tailor care to your unique needs.
We believe in Hope

No matter how long you’ve struggled, your body was designed to heal. Our goal is to help create the conditions that allow healing to happen.

Shelly Walters, MD
Dr. Shelly Walters is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with over 10 years of experience. By pursuing functional medicine, she addresses the root causes of illnesses, empowering patients to reverse diseases and achieve wellness. Dr. Walters loves helping patients safely discontinue unnecessary medications, believing everyone is uniquely valuable.
Dr. Walters is without a doubt the best doctor I have ever encountered. She taught me so many things about health and wellbeing, and made everything easy to understand. Following the advice and materials she provided I was able to rid myself of multiple medications that other doctors had made my only treatment plan.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this functional medicine doctor. From the very first visit, I felt truly seen, heard, and cared for in a way that goes far beyond typical medical care. Dr. Walters takes the time to listen deeply and treats me as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms.
Dr Walters is truly a gift to her patients. I have had chronic disease my entire life and seen many physicians. It is rare to find one with the wisdom, compassion and caring Dr Walters has for her patients. She is very thorough and deeply cares about getting her patients the help they need. She has been a life saver to me and I am truly grateful for her care.
What is Neuroplasticity?

Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change, adapt, and create new neural pathways throughout life. This means the brain can learn new patterns, heal from injury, and rewire unhelpful responses to stress, trauma, pain, and illness. By supporting neuroplasticity, we can help restore healthier brain function, reset our nervous system and promote lasting healing.
Why Partner with Brain Set Free
True healing involves more than addressing physical symptoms. Brain Set Free uses neuroscience-based neuroplasticity tools to help retrain the brain and restore nervous system regulation. When combined with functional medicine, this approach supports both the brain and body, creating a stronger foundation for lasting healing, resilience, and wellness.

Restore Nervous System Balance
When the body is stuck in fight-or-flight mode, healing is difficult. Neuroplasticity helps retrain the nervous system to feel safe, calm, and resilient.

The Gut-Brain Connection
The brain and gut are deeply connected. Supporting both can improve digestion, reduce stress, and promote overall health.

Rewire Unhelpful Patterns
Learn how to retrain the brain and nervous system to support lasting healing, resilience, and well-being.
Vagal Nerve Support

The vagus nerve plays a key role in calming the body, supporting digestion, reducing inflammation, and promoting healing.
